The session was facilitated by Damilola Odufuwa, editor in chief of Konbini Africa. She kicked the masterclass by sharing some personal information about herself and a brief introduction about Konbini.
To create the perfect content, invest in good imagery and premium videos to differentiate and promote your product. “Great content has a distinct tone and voice,” said Odufuwa. She further highlighted the importance of establishing your niche; it helps you to focus on content that is relevant to your target market.
To build a viable community, it is critical to make your content audience driven. Engaging with your audience enables you to position yourself as a key influencer. “Social media is a key component of building a community. Having a website is great but people access your content on mobile first which is via either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram,” she said. Creating a two-way dialogue with your audience fosters more social experience amongst your community.
